its just that we got a new computer and i don't want to start a virus please tell me

Not really, since there won't be much to do without an avatar. You can't dev, chat view a
room etc without downloading the software for the viewer. I've been a dev since 2004 and
have yet to get a virus. I don't see any problem with DLing the program.

Nope.

If you install it, as long as you close it out after you use it each time you won't get
any bugs or slow computer. It's when IMVU is open or running in the background that your
computer runs slower, I did an experiment about that. So, as long as you keep it closed
when you aren't using it, you'll be fine. And you can add me on IMVU, my names are

many ppl say you dont need to but you do if you dont it won't work i been in imvu sence
the day they made it and you need to install no matter what.

pop ups

well when i first downloaded imvu i had alot of pop ups but this is how to stop them. when
the pop up comes and it says login in at the bottom it says pop up everytime i log on
uncheck that and it wont pop up anymore

About Slow IMVU

When you go into a room, all those objects will in sorts, download a small file to your
computer, so next time you load up it will be a quicker load. So in order to have optimal
speed when running imvu you must go into your settings, at the top right of the imvu
client, and clear the cache.

So....

Imvu used to have a virus in the install file but now it is clean. Unfortunatly my mother
doesn't believe that but oh well. If you have a iphone or ipod there is an app for it... I
don't know about android though...

But honestly, imvu is as clean as a whistle... I've had my account for a long time now and
met some really great people... And tbh, some not so great ones... But ehh...

Word of advice.
Imvu can get addictive.
It use to be the only thing i ever did. There was once a time my only social life, well
life altogether, was just imvu. I would come home from school and go straight to imvu. In
holidays i would stay up till 5am on imvu... Luckily my laptop broke and i broke away from
imvu. Now i rarely go on it and i still don't have a computer... Only my ipod that i
rarely use the imvu app... I did have it on my mum's computer and rarely went on it until
she got paranoid about viruses and deleted it... But she woudln't know anything about
computers and viruses xd

So it is fine to download. Just make sure you also use your outside life too. Don't get
too addicted like i did... You will regret it.

Like i said, fortunately i got to break away and now i have real life friends and a
girlfriend xd
